Description
The main product of GEMS C2H2O2 is C2H2O2 vertical column density (VCD). The C2H2O2 VCD represents the total C2H2O2 concentration from surface to top of atmosphere above the unit area. C2H2O2 is mainly formed by oxidation of VOC.
Applications
It is possible to understand and to calculate VOC which generate ozone and fine dust emission using GEMS C2H2O2 products. In addition, it is possible to contribute to the improvement of model simulation accuracy for studying air quality forecasting and climate change.
Note: data interpretation
If clouds exist, the observation accuracy is degraded, so it is recommended to exclude pixels with thick clouds (minimum observable area).
